Giving to others has awesome health benefits

It doesn’t take a neuroscientist to know that doing nice things for people feels good. But now, researchers say they’ve discovered that even thinking about doing something generous has real mood-boosting benefits in the brain. Studies find several health benefits associated with giving, including lower blood pressure, increased self-esteem, less depression, lower stress levels, longer life, and a greater sense of happiness.

Intentionally giving to others does not always involve money

The best way to give is to look around and see what your community needs, then do something to help meet that need. Intentionally giving to others does not always involve money, in fact, there are literally hundreds of other things you can do to give to others. Maybe it’s as simple as creating a niche meetup group, where you can encourage other people with similar passions or interests. Socially responsible investing is another great way to give back. This means supporting companies that are giving back to the community and conducting business in a sustainable way. Mentoring others is another way you can intentionally give back while empowering people at the same time. This is just the tip of the iceberg! Listen to this episode to hear more ideas on how you can intentionally give back!

Giving is an investment strategy

We all know the saying "you get what you give," that giving & practicing generosity is good for the soul and in general, it makes the world a better place. But what if we told you that giving is a good investment strategy? It may be counter-intuitive to strategically give as a way to get...but is it really bad to think that way? If we know this statement "you get what you give" to be true, why not embrace it and use it in a way that leads to prosperity?

We think it's ok to know that when you do give, you'll get something back from the universe. You don't have to pretend you're not interested in receiving a reward for giving--in fact, expecting a reward is empowering a reward to come to you!

Believing that our universe is a giving universe will open yourself to endless opportunities. Listen to our episode to get some simple steps & ideas to get your started on that giving train!

Remember to give to yourself

Have you ever stopped to think about how awesome you are? Even when doing nothing at all, you are a living, breathing being filled with energy and love. When you actually contemplate your own awesomeness, it’s easy to comprehend why it’s so important to really take care and love ourselves. At first thought, the idea of nurturing yourself and comforting yourself can seem selfish or narcissistic. This is what we are taught to believe. However, loving and caring for yourself from a place devoid of ego is one of the most unselfish things you can do. When you give yourself everything you possibly can to ensure you are healthy in mind, body, and spirit, you allow yourself to be the best that you can be, and give even more to the world!
